GOP Eliminates Workers' Rights
GOP Governors Cut State Workers' Rights
So this is basically what the Republicans are saying
Mrs. Johnson: Timmy, I see you have some candy, did you bring enough for everyone?
Timmy: Yes teacher, I brought a piece for everyone.
Mrs. Johnson: What about Johnny?
Timmy: Um, Johnny's diabetic, he's not allowed to have sugar.
Mrs. Johnson: Well then you didn't bring candy for everyone, did you?
Timmy: Ummmmmmm...
Mrs. Johnson: Give me that bag, since you didn't bring candy for everyone, I'm going to take it to the teacher's lounge, us teachers are going to eat it.
Republican governors in a few spots across the country are angering state employees by removing one of organized labor's strongest tools the right to collective bargaining.Haha, being fair to non-union workers? It'd be funny if it wasn't so bile.
Governors in three states who've taken the step say it's about making government more efficient or being fair to non-union workers. Critics say it's political payback for labor's traditional support of Democrats and part of a wider shift to undermine workers in favor of big business.
